Farewell,
Digg.
I came back to Digg because I genuinely missed what it was... a place where smart people surfaced interesting things and argued about them in the comments. Not an algorithm feeding you outrage. Not a brand trying to go viral. Just humans, links, and diggs. Simple. Real. Worth something.
This version didn't make it, and that stings. But I understand why. The gravity of existing platforms is real and building trust on the internet in 2026 is just different.
To the team: you cared. It showed. The product was genuinely good and you fought hard for it. That counts for something even when the outcome doesn't go your way.
To the community: it was good to see you (again). The comments were worth reading. The submissions were worth digging. For a while, it felt like the old days and that's rarer than it sounds.
See you at the re-reboot!
